We present the work of the band "Pedra, Barro e Madeira Tribo". The purpose of this presentation is to make the band's first tour feasible and to organize a schedule of shows throughout Europe (between July and October 2024 - see tour map). The band consists of Pedro Lago (guitar and vocals), Felix Rieder (percussion), and Zé do Bandolim (multi-instrumentalist of strings).
We believe that the joy of Brazilian music and culture is capable of bringing together and reuniting people from different cultures and with the strangest musical tastes!
PEDRO LAGO
The poet and songwriter behind most of the group's compositions, he is Tribo's spokesman, singer and guitarist. With a degree in Journalism with a specialisation in Cultural Production from the Federal University of São João del-Rei, he is also Tribo's Executive Producer.
FELIX RIEDER
Percussionist, composer and music producer for Tribo. As well as dictating Tribo's rhythm on the drums, Felix is the music producer responsible for recording and mixing, as well as working on the group's arrangements and compositions.
ZÉ DO BANDOLIM
A multi-instrumentalist with strings, Zé combines his talent, decades of musical experience and his guitars, banjos and mandolins to bring a typical Brazilian sound and swing to Tribo!
The trio also has the special participation of local musicians and special guests who add their talents and instruments to the group, turning the trio into a real tribe!

Unpublished compositions
Tribo's repertoire consists mainly of authentic, genuine and unpublished compositions by the members of the group. The lyrics, melodies and arrangements of Tribo's songs are the result of a process of co-creation and constant experimentation by the group.
Creation and experimentation
The group is in a constant process of co-creation and experimentation, creating new compositions and improving existing arrangements. Tribo´s desire is to present as diverse a repertoire as possible, mixing different rhythms, styles, genres and cultures.
Joyful, diverse, plural
Bossa Nova, Samba, MPB, Baião, Funk, Blues, Jazz? No one has ever been able to define exactly what the musical style or genre of Pedra, Barro e Madeira Tribo is. The only consensus is that it is joyful, diverse and plural, just like the Brazilian cultures.
The history of the band:
The group was founded in 2019 in São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, by Pedro and Felix, who became friends when Felix lived in Pedro's city for seven months to study Brazilian percussion at the Federal University (UFSJ). Tom Rieder, a trumpeter and Felix's brother, joined the duo. Thus, in the interior of Minas Gerais, the "Pedra, Barro e Madeira Trio" was born.
In 2023, with the arrival of Pedro Lago for an eight-month tour of Europe, the group took its first steps towards an international tour, performing in Rotterdam (Holland) and Koblenz (Germany). Playing in bars, community centres and cultural events, they realised that the joy of Brazilian music was capable of winning over the most diverse audiences.
It was at this time that Pedro and Felix met Zé do Bandolim, who joined the group with his various talents and string instruments. Zé plays mandolin, Bahian guitar, cavaquinho, banjo and guitar. Together they recorded their first album in September 2023 and then decided to start this project.

The World Tour | 2024
We present the work of the band "Pedra, Barro e Madeira Tribo". The aim of this presentation is to facilitate the band's first tour and to organise a schedule of concerts in Europe (between May and October 2024. The band consists of Pedro Lago (guitar and vocals), Felix Rieder (percussion) and Zé do Bandolim (string multi-instrumentalist). In addition to the trio, the group can also count on the participation of special guests and local musicians from each country. The trio can evolve into a "tribe" by welcoming other talented musicians!
